InfoEd International Collaborates with Thomson Reuters Enhancing the Research Administration Process
End Users Will Be Able To Utilize Specific Thomson Reuters Services Enabling Integration of Content in Systems and Workflow
ALBANY, New York — InfoEd International, Inc., the leading provider of software solutions for electronic Research Administration (eRA), announces a strategic collaboration with Thomson Reuters, whereby Thomson Reuters science, arts and humanities, and social sciences data will be available within InfoEd’s Research Outputs module. This new endeavor will provide end users the opportunity to search and access information gathered from scholarly journals in these areas, enabling integration of critical content into existing systems and workflow.
This collaboration with Thomson Reuters will provide quick, powerful access to bibliographic and citation information needed to find research data, and analyze trends, journals, and researchers, and will enable end users to share their findings.
InfoEd is also developing an interface with Thomson Reuters that would utilize Thomson Reuters EndNote enabling end users who do not use the InfoEd Research Output module but use other eRA modules, to access publication information as well. EndNote is used by millions of researchers, scholarly writers, students, and librarians to search online bibliographic databases, organize references and related files, and create bibliographies and figure lists instantly. In addition, EndNote Web is included with EndNote so collaboration with others is easy. This integrated writing solution saves users countless hours of typing and interpreting style requirements for publications, making EndNote an essential tool for research, writing and publishing.
Additionally, the interface will offer end users the ability to utilize Thomson Reuters InCites, a customized citation-based research evaluation tool, which provides objective analysis of your people, programs and peers. InCites enables an end user to analyze institutional productivity and benchmark output against peers worldwide. This comprehensive resource supplies all the data and tools needed to easily produce targeted, customized reports, allowing in-depth analyses of the institution’s role in research, as well as produce focused snapshots that showcase particular aspects of research performance.
Edward Johnson, Jr. President of InfoEd International commented: “We are excited to offer our clients innovative services through our software modules that will enable greater outcomes while utilizing state-of-the-art products. We are the world’s leader in integrated software solutions for Research Administrators and we feel that partnering with companies such as Thomson Reuters enables our software suite to continue being the leader in this fast and ever changing industry.”
